BMW M8 World Premiere.

Just when we were soaking in the gorgeous BMW 8 Series concept that was released just 2 days ago, BMW goes off and put the icing on top with the release of the pre-production BMW M8. The BMW M8 will be developed in tandem with the 8 Series.

Unveiled at the 2017 Nurburgring 24Hr race, the M8 is covered in camouflage ( a smart move to unveil the car before it leaks ) and BMW promises the car to have Classical M features like larger air intakes, modified brakes and sports exhaust with four tailpipes which hint at a significant boost in power and dynamics.

President of BMW M Division Frank van Meel says, ”The future BMW M8 will build on the genes of the 8 Series and augment its DNA with added track ability and generous extra portions of dynamic sharpness, precision and agility. It all flows into a driving experience that bears the familiar BMW M hallmarks and satisfies our customer’s most exacting requirements.”

BMW hasn’t released any details about the engine but we suspect it will be fitted with the potent 600hp 4.4 litre turbocharged V8 found in the upcoming all-wheel-drive BMW M5.
