If you have $9.5M (that’s around ZAR 103M) lying around and you don’t know what the heck you’re going to do with it, here is your chance to buy yourself this limited edition hyper car – the Lamborghini Veneno.
Built in 2013-2014, the car is based on the Lamborghini Aventador and was built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. Only five of these supercars were built, one for factory testing, one kept for the Lamborghini Museum, and three being customer cars with all being sold. The design is just bonkers, featuring a huge rear wing, and Y-shaped elements such as the head and rear lights.
The Veneno can hit 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, and go on to do an electronically limited top speed of 354 km/h. That fire power is courtesy of a 6.5 L V12 that churns out a potent 552 kW (talk about a raging bull).
On launch, it was the most expensive car in the world going for $4.0M. This is a proper collectors car, and the German classifieds website Mobile.de claims this car has only 180km on the clock and its never been driven on public roads or on a track; this car is basically brand new. It’s probably worth more due to its rarity and right now it can be yours for an easy $9.5M. So get your cheque books out, maybe this is the only one that will ever be resold.
